Thank You Book Barn: My First Signing Event

Share Now

This past Saturday I had my first ever signing event as a published author.

The book:  “Chronicles of the Roc Rider”.

The venue:  The Book Barn in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

The experience:  Awesome.

I can’t thank the good people of the Book Barn, Mary, Kat and Joe, enough for allowing me to come in for this event. I love their shop, and the fact that I got to support a local business while also promoting my writing makes me quite happy and proud.

Pleasant surprises happened a lot in the form of the people who stopped in. I got to visit with several friends, past and present co-workers, even a former grade school teacher of mine, all of whom I hadn’t seen in a long time. I also got to meet several new people, among them the staff of the Book Barn who are quite interesting to talk to and very supportive of their local authors.

Even a fellow wordsmith came in. He just happened to be in town visiting his wife’s family and a writer friend who happens to be a mutual acquaintance, Jen Atkinson. We talked shop a bit and I took down his name to keep an eye peeled for his forthcoming book. His name is Royal Duneman, if you want to do the same.

The whole thing was a great time for me, and I’m excited to get to do it again at other venues, hopefully soon.
