If you’re a subscriber to my newsletter, you got a chance to sample the first chapter of the first audiobook I’m working on over this past weekend. While I wanted to give newsletter subscribers the first listen, I’m excited enough about it I thought I’d go ahead and share it on the blog here as well, now that my subscribers have had an opportunity to listen.
I think it turned out pretty well, myself. That being said, in the process of doing some editing to the chapter to get it ready to distribute, I did discover a mistake.
To make a long story short, audiobooks need to be recorded in mono, and I accidentally recorded in stereo. This means, while it doesn’t sound terrible, to get full quality, I’ll have to rerecord this first chapter. Sigh.
Nevertheless, I think it serves as a nice sample of what’s to come. Give it a listen, let me know what you think in the comments, and I hope you enjoy!
