Get Nerdy on Thirty: April 2017

Share Now

The time has come to get nerdy on thirty! Every 30th of the month I bring you a list of things that nerds will love from the realm of books, movies/shows, video games, and more! Let’s get started with this month’s list!

Books

1.  Brandon Mull’s “Dragonwatch” book trailer

The original “Fablehaven” series was amazing. In the new series, the dragons are no longer our allies…

2. Giveaway of advance reader copies of “The Black Elfstone”

Terry Brooks is getting ready to release the first book in the series that will mark the chronological end of the Shannara series, sure to be a bittersweet experience if ever there was one. If you’d like to win an ARC copy (and really, who wouldn’t) of the first book in “The Fall of Shannara” series, click the link above.

Movies/Shows

3. Small details in “Logan” that only true fans noticed

Only if you’re a fan of the comics were you likely to have picked up on these little details.

4. Carrie Fisher’s passing won’t affect the story line of “The Last Jedi”

I think it will be a bitter sweet experience for us all to witness Carrie’s last performance this year. I had always intended to read her novels someday, but now that she’s gone I feel more compelled to finally get to them.

Video Games

5. Grunge’s best companions in video game history

Excuse me, Grunge, but you, like Game Zone in the last Get Nerdy on Thirty, have committed a grievous wrong. How is Morrigan not on this list?

6. Game Trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda

For those of you living under rocks who aren’t aware yet, the long awaited fourth installment of the Mass Effect franchise is finally here! Can’t wait to dive into it at some point myself!

Extras

7. Nine marvel comics mysteries that took years to solve

Were any of you detective enough to solve these?

8. Star Wars projects we’ll never get to see

I don’t know about you, but after reading this I’m super curious to know where humans originated in the Star Wars universe.
